1) Before testing, the “ ┻ ” terminal of the high-voltage test transformer housing and the grounding terminal “ ┻ ” of the power control box must be properly grounded, otherwise it will endanger personal safety and equipment safety.
2) Before operation, you must be familiar with the electrical schematic wiring diagram of the high-voltage test transformer and the power control box. If DC withstand voltage and leakage tests are to be performed, you can first screw the high-voltage silicon stack or microammeter onto the high-voltage terminal of the high-voltage test transformer.
3) After preparation and checking that the wiring is correct, close the main power switch. At this time, the green switch indicator light will be on, indicating that the power is connected; at the same time, the indicator light on the green stop button will also be on. If it is not on, turn the voltage regulator handle counterclockwise back to zero. The indicator light on the green stop button will be on, otherwise the start button will refuse to close.
4) Press the start button, the red button indicator light will be on. Then rotate the voltage regulator handle uniformly and slowly clockwise at a speed of 1.5 to 2 kV per second. The high voltage will gradually rise, and pay close attention to the indication of the voltmeter and the condition of the test object until the required test high voltage is reached.
Usage Method
1. Before performing the power frequency withstand voltage test, first connect the connecting wires and then connect the power supply. The red zero position indicator light will be on. Press the start button once, the green indicator light will be on, indicating that the test transformer has been connected to the control power supply. Press the boost button to start manual boosting. After boosting to the required rated test voltage, press the timing button. The time is generally 60 seconds and can be set by yourself. Press the stop button once, the high voltage and low voltage outputs will stop, and then reset the voltage regulator. Then cut off the power cord, and the test is completed.
2. Precautions during the power frequency withstand voltage test operation process
1) Test personnel should divide responsibilities clearly, set the safe distance of the test site, carefully check the grounding conditions of the test object and the test transformer, and arrange special personnel to monitor safety and observe the status of the test object.
2) The main parts of the test object should be cleaned and kept absolutely dry to avoid damaging the test object and causing errors in test values.
3) For tests on large equipment, generally a no-load boost test of the test transformer should be performed first, that is, boosting to the test voltage without connecting the test object.
4) During the withstand voltage test, the boosting speed should not be too fast, and sudden pressurization should be prevented, such as sudden closing when the voltage regulator is not at zero position, and sudden power off should also be prevented. Generally, the switch should be opened after the voltage regulator is lowered to zero position.
5) During the boosting or withstand voltage test process, if the following abnormal conditions are found, such as large fluctuations in the voltage and current meter pointers, abnormal sounds from the test object, or signs of insulation burning or smoking, the voltage should be immediately reduced, the power should be cut off, the test should be stopped, and the cause should be investigated.
3. When using this product for high voltage tests, in addition to being familiar with this manual, you must also strictly implement relevant national standards and operating procedures.
