According to the weather forecast, affected by the continuous impact of this round of strong cold air, Guangxi will continue to have overcast, rainy, and cold weather for the next three days, with some areas in northern Guangxi experiencing rain, snow, and freezing weather, and temperatures across the region continuing to drop by 6-8°C.
As of now, Guangxi Power Grid has not experienced any line tripping incidents due to icing, with a total of 4 lines of 110 kV and above having ice coverage. Among them, the ground wire of Tower No. 5 on the 110 kV Jinzhongwang Line has an ice thickness of 12.11mm, with an ice-to-wire ratio of 0.43. Based on the ice-to-wire ratio, the company will conduct DC de-icing work on this line again after the 28th.
In response to the severe situation of this cold air being stronger, with lower temperatures and a wider range of rain and snow, China Southern Power Grid Guangxi Power Grid Company has taken proactive measures, preparing various defensive measures in advance, including line inspections, ice observation, and substation duty, to effectively cope with the low-temperature rain and snow, ensuring power supply. To strengthen ice prevention and resistance work in high-altitude cold regions, power supply bureaus in Liuzhou, Guilin, Hechi, Baise, Hezhou, and other areas have also issued yellow warnings, making proactive preparations for power load forecasting and grid operation arrangements under super cold wave weather. In particular, they have formulated emergency plans and risk control measures for potential line outages due to icing, completed the replacement and addition of online monitoring terminals for transmission line icing, inspected and maintained de-icing and ice monitoring devices, and completed maintenance tests for fixed de-icing devices, mobile de-icing devices, and distribution mobile de-icing vehicles to ensure the normal operation of ice prevention and de-icing devices.
