The DC resistance quick tester is a high-precision replacement product for DC single and double arm bridges. The DC resistance test of transformer windings is an essential test item after transformer handover, major repair, and tap changer changes. By measuring the DC resistance of transformer windings, it is possible to check the welding or connection quality of leads, whether there are inter-turn short circuits or open circuits in windings, and whether the tap changer contacts are good. Previously, the measurement of DC resistance was carried out using a QJ44 double arm bridge, but the measurement current of such bridges is in the milliampere level, requiring a long time to measure, and the accuracy is also low. In order to change this situation, shorten measurement time, and reduce the workload of test personnel, the DC resistance quick tester was developed.

The display part uses a four-and-a-half digit LCD to display measurement results, and a three-and-a-half digit LCD to display ambient temperature or test current value, overcoming the disadvantage of other similar products with LED displays that are not easy to read in sunlight. At the same time, it has an automatic arc suppression function.
