What is a high current generator???
Answer: Generally, it is a transformer of several kilowatts with a low-voltage winding made of large cross-section wire, producing about 10V. The primary of this transformer is connected to a voltage regulator of equivalent power. When the regulator adjusts the output voltage, the low-voltage winding of the transformer increases the current output as the primary voltage rises. This type of current generator is mainly used for testing the load capacity of switch contacts and detecting contact resistance. If there is no such application, it is not useful to have one.
High current generator is a specialized equipment designed and manufactured for electrical equipment tests in power departments and industrial/mining enterprises, such as current load tests and temperature rise tests for various switches, current transformers, and other electrical devices. 1. Connect the working circuit according to the electrical schematic diagram. The transformer casing, operation console, etc., must be properly grounded.
2. Connect the power supply, the green indicator light on the operation console lights up, press the start button, the red indicator light lights up, and the current booster is ready to boost current.
3. Rotate the voltage regulator evenly clockwise, and pay attention to the output current indication on the operation console until the required high current is reached. To ensure test accuracy, a standard ammeter can be connected in series at the instrument terminals.
4. During the test, if any abnormal phenomenon is found, immediately cut off the power supply, find out the cause, and then conduct the test again.
5. After the test, the voltage regulator must be returned to zero, press the stop button to cut off the power supply, and then disconnect the test wiring to ensure safety.

SLQ- Precautions:
1. The cross-section of the input power cable of this tester should be greater than 2mm2, and the cross-section of the high current output connecting cable should be greater than 100mm2, and the length of the output connecting cable should be shortened as much as possible.
2. As long as the output current requirement can be met, try to use parallel output.
3. Avoid continuous output for a long time.
4. For safety, the grounding terminal should be reliably grounded.
5. When newly installed or unused for a long time, before operation, use a 1500 megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance between coils and between coils and ground. It can be used only when the resistance value is not less than 0.5 megohms.
6. During use, the current booster transformer and operation console must be reliably grounded to ensure safety.
7. When in use, boost current slowly and evenly; when handling, avoid excessive vibration.
8. The contact surface between the voltage regulator and the carbon brush should be kept clean. If necessary, wipe it clean with cotton yarn dipped in 90% alcohol.
9. This equipment should be stored in a clean, ventilated, dry, and indoor environment.
