The variable frequency series resonant AC withstand voltage test device adopts a method of adjusting the power supply frequency to make the reactor and the tested capacitor resonate, obtaining high voltage and large current on the tested object. It is a new method and trend in high voltage testing, and has been widely applied both domestically and internationally.
Variable Frequency Series Resonance
It consists of a variable frequency power supply, an excitation transformer, a high-voltage reactor, and a capacitive voltage divider. The capacitance of the tested object and the reactor form a series resonant connection; the voltage divider is connected in parallel with the tested object to measure the resonant voltage on the tested object and serve as an overvoltage protection signal; the frequency-modulated power output is coupled to the series resonant circuit through the excitation transformer, providing the excitation power for series resonance.
Applications:
Widely used in electric power, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical and other industries, suitable for handover and preventive tests of large-capacity, high-voltage capacitive test objects.

Components: It consists of
variable frequency power supply, excitation transformer, high-voltage reactor, and capacitive voltage divider.
- 1. Variable frequency power supply: Converts 220V/380V, 50HZ power into frequency-adjustable and voltage continuously adjustable power, integrating operation, protection, control, and monitoring functions.
- 2. Excitation transformer: Steps up the voltage output from the variable frequency power supply while isolating high voltage and low voltage.
- 3. High-voltage reactor: Forms series resonance with the capacitive test object.
- 4. Voltage divider: Measures the high voltage value on the regulator and the low voltage.
