The fully automatic intelligent DC resistance tester is an essential test item for transformers after handover, major repairs, and changes to tap changers. In normal circumstances, using traditional methods (bridge method and voltage drop method) to measure the DC resistance of transformer windings and high-power inductive equipment is a time-consuming and labor-intensive task. To change this situation, shorten measurement time, and reduce the workload of test personnel, a rapid DC resistance tester has been developed. With a high-speed microcontroller at its core, built-in rechargeable battery and charging circuit, and adopting high-speed A/D converter and programmable current source technology, it achieves unprecedented measurement results and highly automated measurement functions.
Working Principle
This instrument contains a DC constant current source. During measurement, the machine feeds a constant current to the test object, which produces a corresponding voltage drop across the measured body. This voltage value is taken back to the machine, and after amplification, sampling, and calculation, the resistance value is obtained. (R=U/I)
