I. Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester Product Overview:
GYNY-5 Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester can be used for 5KVA/50KV power frequency withstand voltage tests. It is a dedicated high-voltage power frequency withstand voltage test device that integrates voltage boosting, control, overcurrent protection, and overvoltage protection display for insulation performance testing of various electrical products and insulating materials.
II. Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester Product Features:
Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester adopts multiple new technologies and new processes. Its features include: horizontal arrangement of the iron core with a low center of gravity; concentric arrangement of the box and the iron core coil; balanced coils to reduce leakage flux loss; thin paper cylinder reinforced small gap structure with large insulation margin. The shell adopts a thin-wall arched structure supplemented by support plates. It achieves light weight, high mechanical strength, and is easy to transport and use on site.
III. Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester Product Principle:
Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester applies a voltage of 0~200V on the low-voltage side, and through electromagnetic induction, a high voltage of 5KVA AC 50KV or DC 70KV can be obtained on the high-voltage side.
The wiring principle is shown in Figure 1:

IV. Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester Usage Instructions:
1. Connect the working circuit according to the schematic diagram. Note that the high-voltage winding tail end, transformer shell, control box (cabinet) shell, and common ground must be properly grounded. The grounding wire must not be arbitrarily tied to a water pipe.
2. Before connecting the power supply, the voltage regulator handle of the Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester control box must first be adjusted to the zero position. Turn the current relay dial switch to the number corresponding to the required protection current value. After connecting the plug wire to the power supply, the green indicator light will turn on. Press the start button, and the red indicator light will turn on, indicating that the voltage regulator circuit is energized and ready for voltage boosting.
3. Rotate the voltage regulator handle uniformly in a clockwise direction at a speed of 1.5-2kV per second to adjust the voltage until the desired voltage value is reached, while closely monitoring the Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester instrument indications and the condition of the test object. Do not close the circuit under full voltage for the test transformer.
4. After the test is completed, the output voltage should be uniformly reduced to below 10 within 5 seconds, then press the stop button to cut off the voltage.
5. When using the Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester for DC withstand voltage tests, first pull out the short-circuit rod in the high-voltage bushing, then screw the microammeter onto the threaded hole at the top of the high-voltage bushing; when using the Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester for AC withstand voltage tests, the short-circuit rod must be inserted and the microammeter must not be installed.
6. During the test, if the pointer of the Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester voltmeter swings significantly, the ammeter indication increases sharply, or the test object shows signs of smoke, arcing, burning smell, abnormal noise, etc., the test should be stopped immediately, the power supply cut off, and the cause investigated. During the test, if the test object short-circuits or breaks down due to a fault, the overcurrent relay in the control box (cabinet) will operate to cut off the power supply. At this time, the voltage regulator handle should be immediately turned back to the zero position.
Power Frequency Withstand Voltage Tester Configuration: Includes (one AC/DC transformer, one TC-5KVA control box, one 70KV discharge rod, one 70KV water resistor).
