Insulation Resistance Tester
Darui Electric recommends:
Features of Insulation Resistance Tester
1. The resistance range can be automatically switched, with corresponding indications.
2. The insulation resistance value is displayed synchronously in two ways. The mechanical pointer adopts an ultra-thin tension wire structure with strong anti-vibration capability. The mechanical pointer allows easy observation of the change range of insulation resistance, while the dot-matrix LCD guides the user in operating the instrument and provides accurate measurement results.
3. The mechanical meter head and LCD screen are combined into one. Dual-scale display with automatic range switching. Colorful scales are easy to read.
4. It adopts an embedded industrial microcontroller and real-time operating software system. With high automation and strong anti-interference capability, the instrument can automatically calculate the absorption ratio and polarization index without manual intervention.
5. The user-friendly interface has power-off protection for various measurement results, and can continuously store up to 20 measurement results.
6. When the instrument generates high voltage, a prompt tone is output.
7. Built-in residual high-voltage discharge circuit automatically discharges residual high voltage on the tested device after testing.
8. It can be powered by AC/DC, equipped with rechargeable batteries and an AC adapter.
9. The instrument is portable and convenient for field operations.

Preparation
(1) Before measurement, the power supply of the tested device must be cut off, and the device must be short-circuited and discharged to ground. It is absolutely not allowed to measure with the device energized, to ensure the safety of personnel and equipment.
(2) For devices that may induce high voltage, measurement can only be carried out after eliminating this possibility.
(3) The surface of the tested object should be clean to reduce contact resistance and ensure the accuracy of measurement results.
(4) Before measurement, check whether the megger is in normal working condition, mainly check its "0" and "∞" points. That is, shake the handle to make the motor reach the rated speed. The megger should point to "0" when short-circuited and to "∞" when open-circuited.
(5) The megger
should be placed on a stable and firm place, away from large external current conductors and external magnetic fields.
